Partners of the Center for Veterinary Mycology are organizations and individuals that collaborate with us to advance education, research, diagnosis, and treatment of fungal diseases in animals.
University of California-Davis School of Veterinary Medicine Small Animal Internal Medicine Service: We work together with residents, fellows, faculty and staff in the small animal internal medicine service to optimize team-based clinical patient care for a variety of internal medicine problems.
University of California-Davis School of Veterinary Medicine Microbiology Service: We perform isolation and phenotypic characterization of yeasts and molds from diagnostic veterinary samples including matrix-assisted time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI TOF MS). We conduct antimicrobial susceptibility testing on yeast isolates.
University of California-Davis School of Veterinary Medicine Immunology Service: We perform serologic assays that detect fungal antigens and antibodies in clinical diagnostic specimens.
University of California-Davis School of Medicine: We work closely with the faculty and fellows in the Department of Medical Microbiology and Division of Infectious Diseases at the School of Medicine with clinical and research expertise in diagnosis and treatment of human fungal diseases including coccidioidomycosis, cryptococcosis, histoplasmosis, and aspergillosis.
The UC Davis Coccidioidomycosis Serology Laboratory provides both qualitative (IgG and IgM) and quantitative (IgG) antibody serology as well as consultation for veterinary Coccidioides infections.
University of Texas San Antonio Fungus Testing Laboratory: The University of Texas San Antonio Fungus Testing Laboratory is internationally recognized for its expertise in fungal identification, antifungal susceptibility testing, and therapeutic antifungal drug monitoring, and its involvement as a contract laboratory for clinical trials for human fungal diseases.
MiraVista Laboratory: MiraVista Laboratory supports our research by providing expertise and research support for projects that involve serologic tests for fungi.
